1. Introduction and Acceptance
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Splooto platform, which connects pet parents with local pet care providers including veterinarians, groomers, trainers, boarders, and walkers. By accessing or using Splooto, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the platform. We may update these Terms from time to time, and will notify you of material changes via email or platform notification.
2. Platform Services
2.1 Service Description
Splooto provides a trusted pet care discovery platform that enables:
- Discovery of verified local pet care providers
- Service-level reviews and ratings from real pet parents
- Booking and payment management for pet services
- Search, filtering, and provider comparison tools
- Direct messaging between pet parents and providers
- Provider verification and trust badges
2.2 Service Categories
Our platform covers pet care services including but not limited to:
- Veterinary care and clinics
- Pet grooming and spa
- Dog walking and pet sitting
- Pet boarding and daycare
- Pet training and behaviour
- Pet nutrition and wellness
3. User Accounts and Registration
3.1 Account Creation
When creating an account, you agree to:
- Provide accurate, complete, and current information
- Maintain the security of your login credentials
- Accept responsibility for all activity under your account
- Promptly update your information if it changes
3.2 Account Types
- Pet Parent: Full access to search, book services, write reviews, and manage pet profiles
- Provider: Manage business profile, respond to bookings, view analytics, and interact with customers
- Guest: Limited access to browse providers and read reviews without an account
4. Pet Parent Responsibilities
4.1 Pet Information
- Provide accurate pet profiles including breed, age, and medical history
- Disclose any medical conditions, allergies, or behavioural issues
- Keep pet vaccination records and health information up to date
- Inform providers of any special care requirements
4.2 Service Selection
- Evaluate provider suitability based on reviews, credentials, and your pet's needs
- Communicate specific requirements clearly before booking
- Ensure your pet is in appropriate condition for the booked service
- Follow provider guidelines regarding drop-off, pick-up, and care instructions
5. Provider Responsibilities and Standards
5.1 Verification
- Complete background checks and business verification as required
- Maintain valid licences, certifications, and insurance
- Submit to ongoing quality assessments and monitoring
- Promptly report any changes to credentials or business status
5.2 Service Listings
- Provide accurate and complete service descriptions
- Maintain up-to-date pricing and availability
- Clearly state any restrictions, breed-specific policies, or special requirements
- Respond to booking requests within a reasonable timeframe
5.3 Safety and Quality
- Maintain safe, clean, and appropriate facilities
- Follow established safety protocols and emergency procedures
- Communicate promptly regarding any health or safety concerns about a pet
- Ensure adequate staff-to-animal ratios for group services
6. Booking and Payment Terms
6.1 Booking Process
- Bookings are subject to provider availability and acceptance
- Confirmation is sent once the provider accepts the booking
- You are responsible for reviewing all booking details before confirming
6.2 Payments
- Payments are processed at the time of booking via supported payment methods
- A service fee may be charged on transactions to maintain the platform
- All prices are displayed in Indian Rupees (INR) unless stated otherwise
6.3 Cancellation and Refunds
- Cancellation policies are set by individual providers and displayed at booking
- Refunds are processed according to the provider's stated cancellation policy
- Processing fees may be non-refundable depending on the circumstances
7. Messaging and Communication
7.1 In-App Messaging
Splooto provides an in-app messaging system for communication between pet parents and providers. By using this feature, you agree to:
- Use messaging only for legitimate pet care inquiries and coordination
- Not share sensitive personal information (e.g. bank details, passwords) via messages
- Not send spam, promotional content, or unsolicited commercial messages
- Maintain professional and respectful communication at all times
7.2 Message Monitoring and Retention
- Messages may be monitored for safety, fraud prevention, and policy compliance
- Messages are retained for 3 years from the date of sending
- We may use anonymised message patterns to improve our safety systems
- You may request deletion of your message history in accordance with our Privacy Policy
7.3 Notifications
- You will receive transactional notifications for bookings, messages, and account activity
- Marketing notifications require your opt-in consent and can be disabled at any time
- Critical safety or security notifications cannot be disabled
8. Reviews and Content
Reviews are a core part of Splooto's trust system. By submitting reviews, you agree to:
- Write honest reviews based on real experiences with specific services
- Not submit fraudulent, abusive, defamatory, or misleading content
- Grant Splooto a licence to display your reviews on the platform
- Accept that reviews may be moderated and removed if they violate these Terms
- Not offer or accept compensation in exchange for reviews
9. Provider Subscriptions and Plans
9.1 Subscription Tiers
Splooto offers provider subscription plans (Free, Growth, Professional, Enterprise) with varying features and capabilities. By subscribing, you agree to:
- Pay subscription fees at the stated frequency (monthly or annual)
- Accept that features may vary by plan tier as described on the pricing page
- Acknowledge that plan pricing may change with 30 days' advance notice
9.2 Billing and Renewal
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing cycle
- You may cancel at any time; access continues until the end of the current billing period
- Refunds for partial billing periods are not provided unless required by law
- Failed payments may result in service downgrade to the Free tier after a grace period
9.3 Add-On Features
- Optional add-on features may be purchased separately on any plan
- Add-on purchases are non-refundable once the feature has been activated
- Add-on availability and pricing may change with reasonable notice
10. Platform Usage and Conduct
10.1 Acceptable Use
You agree to use Splooto only for lawful purposes. You must not:
- Interfere with the platform's operation or other users' experience
- Attempt unauthorized access to any part of the platform
- Scrape, harvest, or collect user data without consent
- Submit false information or impersonate other users
- Use the platform to promote services outside of Splooto
10.2 Communication Standards
- Maintain respectful and professional communication
- Provide accurate and truthful information in all interactions
- Respect the privacy of other users and their pets
- Report any inappropriate behaviour or safety concerns
11. Intellectual Property
- Splooto's platform design, code, branding, and content are our intellectual property
- You retain ownership of content you upload (reviews, photos, profiles)
- By uploading content, you grant us a non-exclusive licence to display it on the platform
- You represent that you have the right to share any content you upload
12. Disclaimers and Limitations of Liability
12.1 Service Availability
- Splooto is provided “as is” without guarantees of uninterrupted service
- We do not guarantee error-free operation or continuous feature availability
- We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features with reasonable notice
12.2 Pet Care Safety
- Splooto is a discovery platform — we are not responsible for the quality, safety, or outcome of services arranged through the platform
- Pet parents retain responsibility for evaluating provider suitability for their pets
- Providers are independently responsible for the services they deliver
- We encourage all users to verify credentials and reviews before booking
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold Splooto harmless from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of the platform, violation of these Terms, content you submit, or interactions with other users. This includes reasonable legal fees and costs.
14. Termination
14.1 Account Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account for:
- Violation of these Terms of Service
- Fraudulent activity or providing false information
- Behaviour that poses a safety risk to pets or other users
- Extended inactivity (with prior notice)
14.2 Effect of Termination
- Access to your account and platform features will be revoked
- Pending bookings may be affected and providers notified
- Data retention follows our Privacy Policy
- Outstanding payment obligations remain in effect
15. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of Splooto shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Hyderabad, India.
We encourage users to contact us first to resolve disputes informally before initiating legal proceedings.
16. Severability and Waiver
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect. Our failure to enforce any right or provision does not constitute a waiver of that right or provision.
